We have always encouraged trainers to modify the Courage to Be Safe (sm) program to fit the local environment by adding local pictures and local statistics when applicable. In the past, we offered little in the form of additional training items for you to utilize, primarily because we had to create them. Our trainer online resource web site has a growing variety of items you can utilize for program modifications. Most will suit your needs.
However, if you modify the program beyond local pictures and statistics we would appreciate seeing a copy of your changes.
Why is this so important? The reason is quality control and consistency. Remember, this program was developed by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, and includes, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, Everyone Goes Home ® and the Courage to Be Safe (sm) trademarks and logos. It is important that we discuss and/or view your modifications to ensure that the intent of the program meets the mission goals and objectives and that it is true to its branding.
